How AI turned my drunken wine joke into a Hollywood pitch
The Wine Bros weren't supposed to exist, then AI happened.
This is silly and fun. But you can learn a lot by playing with AI and unleashing your creativity… especially with some of the new capabilities
So this is your permission to PLAY.
I just created something ridiculous with AI by dragging up a past idea and playing around with features that didn’t exist when the idea was born from too many cabernets.
It’s a fake reality-style show concept pitch site inspired by a drunken wine tasting 3 years ago with my wife and 2 of my best friends.
(Who knows, maybe it will come to life if Hollywood picks this up! LOL)
You can click the image to see the final product for reference…
…but then you really should come back and read the backstory behind it and how I created it to make sense.
This is the story of “The Wine Bros & Their Broads”…
Back in the summer of 2023, my wife Kenia and I were in wine country with two of our best friends, Mario and Holly.
After a long day of tastings, we sat down for a snack surrounded by very sophisticated wine snobs, very proper too.
They were swirling glasses, discussing notes, and probably saying things like "structured tannins" with straight faces.
Mario and I were a few heavy pours past usefulness.
We are both half-Sicilian, which apparently becomes relevant after enough wine.
Somewhere during lunch, we started doing these over-the-top Italian wise-guy characters reviewing wine like two guys from NYC who had wandered into Napa and didn’t even try to fit in.
Somewhere during lunch, we started doing these over-the-top Italian wiseguy characters reviewing wine like two guys from the Bronx who had wandered into Napa by mistake.
The more we did it, the harder we laughed.
The bit became The Wine Bros.
ChatGPT was still new then, so I opened it at the table and typed the first prompt:

It started writing scenes.
We started laughing harder (obnoxiously harder).
We kept on asking for more scenes and thought “In another life we would create a fun social media account and just go to wineries dress like these over the top, larger than life characters and film.”
The lunch ended, the day moved on, and the whole thing basically disappeared.
Except our friend group chat is still named: Wine Bros & Broads.
May 9, 2026: This morning I found the original ChatGPT thread and had an idea…
Side Bar: ChatGPT Image 2 has gotten insanely good in the past couple weeks overtaking damn near everything else. And one big trend is creating what’s called a “character reference sheet”
So I uploaded a photo of the four of us and asked ChatGPT to create Hollywood-style character reference sheets for each person.

That was the moment it got weird.
It turned a casual wine-country photo into a fake cast bible.
Tony. Vito. Maria. Gina.
Tracksuits. Gold chains. Wine glasses. Wardrobe notes. Character archetypes. Storyboards. Dialogue.
The joke suddenly looked like a show.
After that I asked ChatGPT to create a story board for the first episode it had created

Wait! This Needs A Website!
So I opened Claude Code, uploaded the original chat, the new images, and asked it to build a Hollywood-style website for the fake series.

Claude code generated the html and I dropped that file folder into my Netlify account to quickly host it.
And it created this site: https://thewinebros.netlify.app/ (click it, look around, realize AI created 100% of everything here.
Why Did I Make This?
For the most important reason ever: for fun.
I made it because it made me laugh and my friends laugh.
But also to push the envelope and see what it could do.
I know that AI’s video and audio creation tools now are so good I could technically
design AI voices that go with each character
create consistent characters and multiple scenes using Seeddance 2.0 or another video model.
And systematically put together a real AI generated show if I wanted to
I’m probably not going to do that right now because I’m very busy with my clients who are trying to grow their businesses and leverage AI with my help. (gotta pay the bills).
But as I continue to automate my business and give myself more free time to express and create, you never know.
That is the point.
Most people approach AI like it needs to justify itself with productivity.
Write the email.
Summarize the meeting.
Build the spreadsheet.
Automate the thing.
All useful.
But some of the best AI moments start when you follow a stupid little spark far enough to see what it becomes.
A joke becomes a character sheet.
A character sheet becomes a storyboard.
A storyboard becomes a fake show.
A fake show becomes a website that absolutely did not need to exist.
AI lowers the cost of chasing weird ideas.
That matters.
Because most ideas die before they get a fair shot.
AI gives those ideas a place to go.
Sometimes it is ridiculous.
Sometimes it is The Wine Bros.
Want to use AI to bring your stories to life?
Here’s a few prompts to start with.
First: I recommend using ChatGPT Image 2 for this, results are the best so far.
First we create the Character Reference sheet
Then Upload a photo and use it as the visual reference and paste the prompts below…
